Enhancing children’s education.
Frances is our visionary. The founder and owner of Village Global is also a wife and mother to four children. A passionate advocate for education, as well as an accomplished opera singer, Frances has long used her voice to improve the standard of education and inclusion in the UK and internationally.
Her dedication for providing quality education for all shines through her philanthropic efforts, namely the Uhambo Foundation, a charity which seeks to enable children with disabilities to live full and satisfying lives, which Frances is a founder and director.
Frances has drawn on her own resources for many philanthropic endeavours. She believes now is the time to inspire and direct change and solve the social problems that many face at home and around the globe. Her goal is for “successful integration for every(little)body”
Frances has a wealth of experience in Early Years’ settings, having rescued failing businesses and turned them into local success stories. She heads Village Global Nurseries, a group which successfully caters to the needs of children and the communities around them, in both Henley-on-Thames and London.
Kaley is a mother and the Chief Operating Officer of Village Global. Like Frances, having moved to the UK from South Africa, both have a shared passion for third world education and social change.
Kaley’s journey with Village Global started in 2016 with the launch of Henley Village Montessori Nursery School as their manager. Her role since evolved, drawing on her experiences from her homeland and a keen understanding of the Village framework. As the Henley nursery flourished into a diverse and outstanding nursery, as did the local community, and the business infrastructure we put into practice today.
She holds an International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy, AMI: Assistance to Infancy course and a BA in Early Childhood Development. She lives by the words, “I can’t tell my child to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it myself!”
Kaley’s career has always centred around childhood education. A devotee of Early Years practices, and movement development and sport, Kaley is was also the co-owner of Playball The Playteam, an institution specialising in building gross motor skills, brain development through movement, and personal instilling confidence through competence in children from birth to teens. She sought a more holistic approach to education when her son was born and from there began her Montessori journey. Kaley is a natural leader with experience as a director, manager, and co-owner and founder of a number of businesses and initiatives.
